Instructions
Refilling a fountain pen from an ink pot using a converter (charger barrel) is a simple process. Follow these steps:
- Prepare the Pen: Unscrew the pen body to expose the converter attached to the nib section.
- Insert the Nib: Dip the nib and part of the section into the ink pot until the nib is fully submerged.
- Draw Ink: Twist or pull the converter mechanism to draw ink into the converter. You’ll see the ink filling the converter.
- Remove Air Bubbles: Twist the converter in the opposite direction to expel a bit of ink back into the pot, removing any air bubbles. Then twist it again to refill.
- Clean Excess Ink: Carefully remove the nib from the ink pot and wipe any excess ink off the nib and section with a soft cloth or tissue.
- Reassemble the Pen: Screw the body of the pen back onto the nib section.
- Test: Test the pen on paper to ensure a smooth flow.
